Winston's Wish gains an additional 30% in donations

Winston’s Wish, a local bereavement charity located in Cheltenham, won the hearts of the toinfinity team after learning about them through a ‘find a charity’ competition that sought out charities who could benefit from their digital marketing expertise.

Challenge

Winston’s Wish challenge was to find a way to raise awareness of the charity in conjunction to increasing fundraising efforts.

Approach

Throughout the year, toinfinity Managing Director, Al Keck, worked directly with Winston’s Wish to create an online digital strategy and offer advice on search engine marketing (SEO and PPC), email and website usability as well as offering ongoing strategic guidance to our Communications and Marketing team with the aim of strengthening and focusing our messages and campaigns. 

From creating a highly engaging newsletter to facilitating the ‘buy’ and ‘donate’ customer journey, Winston’s Wish has seen great development.  The once broad based marketing plan was transformed into a targeted campaign strategy that has been proving successful since its deployment.

Year-on-year results via paid-for (PPC) strategy:

  • Sessions increased by 71%
  • New sessions increased by 43% to over 75% new sessions
  • New users increased 144%
  • Assisted conversions have increased by 140%
  • Donations increased by 30% 

The increase in charity awareness and community engagement through donations has been phenomenal and we are happy that we are able to help give back to the community.  With more than 100 children bereaved from a parent every single day in the UK, is it a great feeling to see that our digital marketing services have increased funding to support children through these tragic times.
