The chatter in the online marketing industry between client and agency is really all about search engine optimisation (SEO) and social media. These two things, coupled with some of the other tools such as email marketing and pay per click (PPC) are proving to be really successful.   Many people understand that SEO is the most cost effective way for long term results online. It basically means that we will do the fighting to get your website towards the top of Google and then maintain that spot for you. Facebook seems to be the black sheep of the family and many businesses are choosing to leave it well alone.   The biggest fear that business owners have of using Facebook - the chances of clients and customers seeing their personal profiles.   On the one hand, we should be no different a person outside of work than we are inside of it. There should be no fear of someone discovering something about us, if, in our business, we are congruent with our values in life.   But on the other hand, I do agree that what we get up to on a weekend and the photos of our last holiday should be kept separate from business.
