Google Adwords site links have been around for nearly 2 years, and have evolved from a very basic mass campaign only setting (which meant that in order to make your sitelinks truly useful, you had to run lots of separate campaigns) to a new version earlier this year when you upgraded to an Enhanced campaign that allowed you to set site links individually at ad group level.

With the deadline of upgrading to Enhanced campaigns looming, Google have released a new and exciting upgrade to site links which allows you to add additional text (and offers) for individual site links. This gives advertisers much more flexibility to push promotions which may previously been limited because of character limitations and potentially a competitive advantage.

The additional text is simple to set up, with two additional fields (you have the option to use both or none at all) on the ad extensions section of your campaign tabs.
We are currently testing this out across our clients accounts, and it will be interesting to see just how much the extra content has on Clickthrough rates. We can already see the advantage of the extra screen space.
