Case Study: Weird Fish
Improved ROI from Google Adwords
Weird Fish is a life style clothing brand, born in Cheltenham in 1993. The brand is well known through out the UK with many stores and concessions and a strong presence online.
We started working with Weird Fish mid October 2011 as their preferred e-commerce and online marketing partner.
What Was The Challenge?
Weird Fish had used adwords in the past, pushing brand terms online but were unable to assess what business it drove and subsequently paused it.
Expectation
We worked closely with the team at Weird Fish to understand their product ranges, current customers, their business objectives and what their expectations of the campaign were. We wanted to ensure that the campaign reflected their brand values, encompassed promotions and gained new customers as well as encouraging repeat purchases from current customers.
Our Approach
With our experience and consultancy we were able to analyse the history of previous campaigns, identify what needed to be implemented in order to take the campaign to the next level and make estimated predictions on ROI by proposed Ad group.
By projecting potential revenue, we were able to make recommendations on a starting budget, which could be reviewed as the campaign progressed.
The Results
Our knowledge and experience ensured that this campaign was profitable from day one and that Weird Fish started to recapture customers that were going to other suppliers of their clothing. Over the first few months since taking over the campaign, we have seen a massive year on year increase in online sales, with ROI reaching 1700% and visitors increasing by 65% (53% of which are new visitors).
We continue to work on the PPC campaign to improve Return on Investment. We are also working with Weird Fish on improving their search engine rankings via search engine optimisation and increasing revenue via email marketing.
